Welcome to the summer 2017 newsletter
This newsletter contains details of changes that have been made to the Computing Homework site over the past term.
BBC Micro:bit
We have released a third batch of three exercises for the BBC Micro:bit.
The new exercises are designed to show students how the micro:bit can be used to develop a thermostatically controlled heating and air conditioning simulation.
Additionally, a fifth exercise has been added to the set of buggy simulation exercises.
The new exercises are listed below:

Amendments to exercises
In response to feedback, we have amended two exercises on the site. These are, Text Bytes from the Bits and Bytes section, and Conditional Statements 2 from the Scratch - Programming section.
Hints have been added to these exercises to make it easier for students to understand how to tackle the questions.
New Developments
We are planning to release a fourth batch of exercises for the BBC Micro:bit in September.
All of the BBC micro:bit exercises that we have developed to date have been able to be run using the online simulators. Future micro:bit exercises will assume that students have access to an actual micro:bit. For some exercises, students will need access to two micro:bit devices. This may happen, for example, if the exercise is about communications between micro:bits.
We would welcome your suggestions on further developments. To do this, you can either use the suggestions page on the site or you can email directly to:
