This newsletter contains details of changes that have been made to the Computing Homework site over the past term.
All the site's Python exercises have been revised. Additionally, these exercises have now been converted from Flash to HTML5.
The installation of Python has been revised to use the latest version of Python. We have also added a new animation to provide a brief introduction to an online Python environment. This is repl.it.
We are offering free copies of The BBC Micro:bit and the Moon Dust Aliens to school libraries. Schools that are interested are asked to email us in the usual way with "Request for book copies" in the subject header. There is a limit of three copies per school.
We will be migrating to use HTTPS instead of HTTP. The changeover will occur in the third week in August. Schools are asked to amend their links and to advise students to do the same.
We are continuing to revise the exercises that support the BBC Micro:bit. These are expected to be completed by the beginning of September.
